Traxxas X0-1 0-62mph 2.3secs

Not sure if this is a repost but check this out:

http://www.wheelspinmodels.co.uk/i/118612/

Unbelievable bit of kit

0-60mph 2.3sec

0-100mph 4.92sec

Not bad for a remote control car, anyone got a spare £999

It's not the fastest by any means.

Just a very quick out of the box car.

That is MENTAL - how the hell do you a: see it when it's off doing 100mph away from you and b:control the bloody thing? Always wanted a decent nitro off roader but could never decide on what to go for - or how much money to pay!

Don't buy something to race around the local car park as you will soon become bored.

This is a list of all the clubs in the UK. http://www.brca.org/?q=clubs

Go along and watch to see what goes on. You can see what they race and get good advice to what you need.

Most of the HPI cars are toys and most come through gadget shops and the like.

The quality and performance is lacking compared to a proper RC car.

Unless things have changed a lot since my racing days, none of the ready to run cars were even worth looking at and most of the Tamiya, Kyosho and HPI cars were simply toys.

There is a big jump between them and competitve club racing cars.

Just look at the reactions required here. 1/10 electric touring cars

Some nitro

There is loads on the tube. Then load some of the HPI cars that people are driving.

Some of those nitro cars have power to weight ratios of 1500BHP per ton.

You get some cars setup for drag racing only, but I can remember a while ago somebody getting their track setup 1/10 nitro touring car from 0-60MPH in 1.8secs.
