Sorry if this is an elementary question, but how did you get the black door liner (ie. not chrome)? My sport package comes with the x-line, and I am thinking it may not be a good thing.

Ah - Interesting that both the most basic model and the m package have the black liner. I wish the sport package allowed you to opt-out of the x-line.

The standard model has just the matte black rubber around the windows, but M sport has high gloss black around the windows. In Europe, you can also choose to have the aluminium trim with the M sport.

I think aluminium trim looks great with M sport.

Thank you for that clarification. I agree, ultimately both styles look good.

Yeah m sports comes with the shiny black trim. Though, I've checked my roof rails and bmw does a poort job of ensuring that the whole thing is painted shiny, looks like a bad trim deck job as I can still see the matt black underneath.

either way, I have the same car as op. carbon black looks excellent especially in the evening, catches quite a few stares. only wish had gotten the rims another level up that some seem to have with the black detailing.
