JB4 Map 2

I've been running map 1 since the install. The other day I tried out map 2 and find the increased boost much more enjoyable to drive, even just around town. I have an ER charge pipe coming to eliminate that failure.

My question: with no other mods, using 93 oct gas and taking it easy, is their any danger keeping it in map 2 ?

The reason map 2 requires you to have 93 octane and catless dp or high flow dp is because the increased back-pressure will harm the turbo's in the long run. Plus I believe map 2 advances timing more than map 1, something that may cause problems when your turbo backpressure builds up and heats everything up.

I doubt you'll see a problem if you run map 2 for a few WOT's here and there. But it's probably not something I would risk. Ultimately it's up to you.

Get the DP and have Matt install it. Totally worth it!

You should have DPs.. We have n55 DPs starting at 369.00 so its much cheaper to have these put in versus the N54 so it should definitely be on your to do list
