How strict about tint?
Just moved here in Fort Walton Beach and about to get some tint put one next week. I understand 28% is the limit, but I want to go a little darker and was wondering how strict the cops are about this around here. Thanks.

here in ft laud they wont pull you over just for tint but can nab you for speeding and then tint but very rare. seems to be that way in miami too. I personally never had a problem and both cars have 5%

Legally it's 20% on the back windows and 30% on the front windows. I have 20% all around and drive by cops almost every single day multiple times a day and have never been pulled over. I know several people with limo tint that have never been pulled over. Tampa is pretty much the same as teleopti described ft laud and miami. You won't get pulled over for it, but if you've been speeding the cops can sometimes slap it on to the ticket. I've only heard that happening to crappy ricers though, never anyone with a nice car.

I've always had 15% all around on my cars and when I got pulled over (not in the BMW) at one of the gang speed traps that set up every once in awhile, I got a fix-it ticket instead. So it's possible the window tint got me out of a speeding ticket and the policeman still got to write a ticket for his quota.

You should be fine with that. It would only be illegal by 10% on the front windows. Besides, whats the first thing you do anyway when a cop pulls you over... roll down your front window.

Haha, I rolled down both front windows and he told me to roll them back up to stick the machine on it.

I'm a trooper in fort lauderdale and to be honest we could careless about the tint... Unless your front windshield is tinted. Some of the others use the tiny as a secondary to save people money. Moving violation is a minimum of $165 while the non moving is $115 and i usually tell you to fix it and take it to court and I'll dismiss the ticket. I guess it just depends which one of us stops you. Lol!
