Is There Even A Choice? M3 or C63AMG

Been out and spotted two potential cars (well three if you include the £83K M5 ) that took my eye today, is there really a contest?

Both are fully loaded pushing £68/£69K

C63 AMG

Or

M3 Coupe (Individual Blue)

Figures on the M5 were ridiculous, both the C63 & M3 though were very good

Neither, I would have to be high on crack to pay $108k for a car that sell for $67k-$72k brand new. Why are the prices so damn high in the UK? BTW the prices you listed are like M5 prices over here in the US.

M3 looks leagues ahead. The C63 sounds great but the colour and wheel choice are truly tasteless!

We have high taxes for lots of things, but that's what they cost. Either buy one or don't buy one.

However I'm sure our average salary in the same in £ as it is in $ in the USA effectively meaning they cost about the same in relation to our earnings.

On the topic of the cars, those black wheels on the Merc do nothing at all for it. They look cheap and out of place.

That M3 is lovely in that colour.

I wish I had the decision to make!

Does it have to be one of those two spec'd models, if so based on color etc it would be the m3, however I do like the merc more, they are just more beefed up looking these days !

But I wouldn't buy either of them, unless you are hell bent on a V8.

The new model F30 335i will be available in March, fully loaded for about £45k. So it is £20k cheaper and a newer model. You lose a bit of grunt compared to an M3 or the Merc, but a 335i still isn't slow and you can buy a lot for the £20k price difference.

Am I right in thinking the c63 shares the same engine as the merc SLS?
If so thats pushing out 500bhp?

The horse power race ain't over in Mercs eyes, still hell bent on straight line speed!

I'd take the m3 allll daaaay lonnngggg, or wait for the new one in 12months ish?

450 BHP in c63, the performance pack makes that 480 BHP, and the engine is capable of 550BHP in the SLS etc.

I'd never dream of owning a red C63. Wheels look awful. Buy the BMW.

On the road the C63 is the better car! If your going to track it a lot the M3 is the car to have (probably). Depends whether the C63 has a LSD!

That red C63 looks disgusting IMHO. The M3 does not look great in that colour either!!

Sorry if it was my money I would not be buying either of those cars
The colours do not suit either car.

The C63 AMG in my opinion looks amazing in Palladium Silver and the BMW
M3 looks even better in Atlantis Blue
