I've done this. Had a friend roll his car off ramps slowly while I tried to stop it from behind. Thought I could stop it...

The driveway was slightly sloped. The car started rolling onto the street. I somehow didn't panic and ran toward the door, opened it, and stomped on the brake and pulled the e-brake. In retrospect, I don't know how I had the coordination and calmness to do it. It was a big adrenaline rush.

Luckily, it was a quiet neighborhood street and there were no cars. I stopped the car before it rolled onto the curb on the other side of the street.

That is a pretty scary situation! It's like seeing someone about to fall off the cliff. Do you give them your hand not knowing if you'll get pulled into death too?

Wow, talk about lucky and quick thinking. Probably will need an alignment, maybe a bit of suspension work, but definitely couldve been worse if it went into traffic. Good save.
