Read the instructions from DIY section and took me about an hour to do it.

Those eBay bulbs have been known to short and melt the housing along with the surface of the halo rings inlet.

Nice to see you back pat, and yes they do melt things, be careful and check on them. New housing are about $800.

About how long do you think it takes to melt? Ill keep an eye on it and update this thread. Also those heat spreaders on it are pretty beefy. So only time will tell.

Update update

So its been a week and no signs of melting on the LED. Looks like its working just fine.

They don't all melt, only rare cases.
