Guess what we bought this weekend - Mini Coupe JCW
This! It had been in the showroom just long enough for this photo to be taken by the sales team to put on Facebook and then we came in and my wife fell in love!
Ok - a total marmite car I know but the 130i is coming on a bit now and with the 330d we don't need 4 seats in our other car, so the 130 is going. We spent the day in their JCW Coupe demonstrator and it is certainly quick - more details when we take delivery next Monday. Last edited by Falmouthboy; 01-09-2012 at 03:42 PM.. |

Wow, you won't have any trouble finding that in the car park!
Are you part exchanging the 130i?

Drove one of these at the weekend and absolutely loved it, now firmly on my list as a possible replacement for the 335i - it'll save me more than £10k on my budgeted spend as well!

You're going to either like or hate the look but driving it is going to be a complete blast!

Yup, you'll definately divide opinion, but wouldn't life be boring if we following the same hum-drum life. I've not seen one properly in the flesh yet but certainly think it deserves credit for doing something a bit different. There are a lot of odd looking cars out there, that are simply shite, at least this we're fairly confident delivery lots of thrills and smiles (especially from the drivers seat).

Nice choice.
Test drove one a few weeks ago and was impressed. The rear seats are just a bit too non-existent for my needs.

Very nice!
I saw one in my local Mini dealer and it was fantastic (black with red) - the interior was cool. As above, I need at least occasional back seats so not going to work for me.

So we picked up the Coupe on Monday and have now had the chance to give it a coat of decent wax and take a few photos.
As with any new addition to the family, those first few days of bonding are so important! Not to everyone's taste, but I love her (the car I mean!) |

Looks like a nice colour. Is it a kind of pearlescent white?
A kind of orangey brown and black one drove past me the other day and I have to say that colour combination was horrible. |

I just can't make up my mind, from some angles it looks great, then others (from behind) it just looks too odd. I like the fact that it's different and I'm sure it's a hoot to drive.
Think the colour combo you have looks brilliant; really eye-catching. Enjoy.
