Treated the Merc to 20" rims!!
Had a set of 20" SL63 AMG rims and low profile tyres fitted to the Merc and ive also had her dropped on Eibach springs. Handles lovely and corners nice and flat. Had to have the arches rolled to prevent any rubbing issues and so far so good even fully loaded with kids, dog and luggage. Next up i must get it remapped!!

Lovely looking motor Stevie, but, for me personally, I'd have stuck with 19s with the drop, or perhaps 20s with no drop (probably the former). I'd still have it on my driveway though (I'm being picky ).

Really appreciate the comments guys. If I'm being really honest i wasn't aiming to go that low and when i made the decision to put the alloys on i wasn't intending on dropping it. However, ive always hated cars being fitted with nice rims and then a huge gap under the arches like its on stilts. But equally ive always hated that chavvy "rims disappearing under the arches" look too. I checked and double checked the off sets and it took me a few weeks to decide on the rim choice. I totally expected to have to fit spacers in order to bring the rims out and fill the arches. But when i saw the car being driven around to me i was immediately aroused!! The stance (and thank you for the kind words Ian) is almost perfect for me and ive not had to use spacers. Its been lowered on Eibachs but it was already running the full AMG sports set up from factory. To be fair the ride is amazing and Louisa is my biggest critic and hates me "fiddling" with the cars. But even she hasn't moaned (yet) - although she hates the fact she has to be double careful parking it and avoiding pot holes because the Falcon 452's have ZERO rim protection!!! I know its not to everyones taste but so far I'm loving the transformation and Louisa tells me it gets a lot of attention whenever she does the weekly Waitrose shop!!

Looking at those pics Steve, I can't believe the wheels actually turn around in those arches but I'm surprised how well they suit the car! Does it noticeably affect the way it drives outside of the ride such as more tramlining or even slowing the acceleration?

What's the most common Merc forums? The only one I'm on is mbworld, are there more common ones? I want to drop my GLK 350 too and it already has 20inch AMG wheels.
