Seems like a pretty good deal

What do you think chaps?

2010 335d (LCI) with 8k on the clock:

http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classifi...335d?logcode=p

Prof nav, 313s and heated seats. 27k on the forecourt.

Seems like a pretty good deal to me that

I'd sooner have a slightly older M3 if spending that amount of money.

45k list sounds about right to me too, looks like this is a very good deal.
My previous car was an '08 E92 330d MS and I loved it.

Colours a bit boring for you isn't it?? What happened to a red one with cream leather??

Does look a good buy though (though Will's comment gives me an idea though )

So black on black is a bit "dull" you know I'd make it more interesting anyway chaps

As for a 2010 LCI car looking dated I think you are on crack Jon, especially driving around in a similar aged yet 4 door detuned 4 pot on caster wheels Just my opinion.. x

Looks good mate!

Watch out for quality issues. Car don't seem as well built as earlier cars!

V nice mate. Low mileage, doesn't say what month the car is on that plate or am I blind?

I'm always a little sceptical on low mileage diesels that are a bit older, makes me think lots of small journeys and potential DPF issues etc

Still, cracking motor with a good spec. Not a fan of black on black though, I prefer a contrasting leather

Completely agree.

If something black/red or red/black (or red/silver or jade) comes up with this kind of spec I'd put a deposit down in a heartbeat. I've had to think about it so it's a no-go. I usually just make snap decisions. Whenever I deliberate I'm not actually going to go ahead with it; Heh...

LCI is just a tart up job, the whole shape etc must be 5 years old hence dull and dated.

What I drive is a little irrelevant as its a company car and the decision to take the BMW option was driven by the excellent emissions and mpg which directly effects my tax.

When you get to be an old man like me you may not be so hung up on cars and image. Then again with a mop of ginger hair who cares about image

I am sure you will find what you are looking for one day.

I don't think E92 is dated at all. E90 is for sure. Which is why I got rid of mine.

I wonder if it's just a bit of the "new model on horizon, so old one must be dated" syndrome. IE falling for marketing. But who can say

Jabs aside (You know me well enough not to take it seriously and vice versa I'd fathom) I can't think of a coupe I'd rather drive around for the same kind of money, to be honest. If I could; I'd go for that instead of possibly this.

The 640d is about a decade too old fart for me in terms of image.. And running costs are important due to my town commute so an E9x M3 isn't really an option. I'm in no way inspired by anything european (Put it this way, french is an absolute no. I strongly dislike Audi's, and feel the Mercs also too "old" for me in terms of image) other than BMWs and can't think of any japanese alternative other than a GT-R; which would be brilliant if I could afford an MY2011 one, but I can only afford a 2009 with the flakey transmission; And beyond that point we come back to running costs anyway.

So for "around 20 to 25" I can't think what else I'd possibly go for at this point in time. Next purchase will be in the same shoes but maybe I'll have the deposit down on the pipe/slippers by then so could realistically consider the 640d equivant car IE something quick and luxurious on a business contract.

Hmmmm.

How have you found life with the Zed Dave?? Would you consider a 370Z?? You can get a new one for that budget. OK, running costs might be an issue, but unless you need the extra practicality it could be an option.

Handling certainly not as good as a sorted BMW. IMHO. Room for improvement sure but standard it's quite floaty on the top side of 70 and doesn't instill confidence.

More than that though... If I could handle 15mpg permanently I'd get an E92 M3 for about 22k Rog I don't want to buy another 6 month car; The next one needs to be for keeps.. Relatively speaking..

.
So why is the E90 dated and the E92 not? They are after all quite similar on the outside (except doors obviously), have the same interior and the e92 came out, what a year later

Front profile, bonnet: Look very dated. Rear lights look very dated. Halogens is a massive no-no.

LCI looks alot better; but a very plain looking car now compared with the likes of the A5, or new C/E class mercs.

The E92 is holding up alot better.

But this is just my opinion. I'm not trying to upset any E90 owners.. It was just for me the right time to sell for a variety of reasons..

Yeap, we all have our opinons mate, which makes this forum a nice fruity place

I would say if one is dated, then the other is too..sorry. Also the E92 should have got the LCI bonnet, as that is lovely, agree.

I think the ore lci E92 is one of the best looking BMW's ever made, especially the M3. Whilst I like the 6 and 5, they didn't have the instant wow factor for me that the E92 had. As soon as the M Sport was released I had to have one.

I have not felt like that about any BMW released recently.
