End of brake dust cleaning issue

Microfiber Fluffy Handheld: Lowe's, $4.98.

Bucket of warm soapy water, cleans it right up in less than a minute. Fits around the calipers just nicely, cleans all the way back.

Easy post, easy solution, easy on the wallet.

This? Good idea, will have to try it, I was using something similar, but smaller and not as flexible.

I bought these, and these work well for cleaning the wheels during my weekly detail. It barely fits between the wheel and the brake calipers on the front.

I bought a bottle of 'Eagle One Keep Clean Wheel Protectant ' and applied after I got the wheels completely spotless. To my great surprise the product works exactly as advertized. I used to have a ton of brake dust on the front wheels after 1 week. With this stuff I'm still looking remarkably clean after 3 weeks. Brushless car wash doesn't seem to effect its performance much either.

Highly recommend giving it a try!

I think the Armor All wheel protectant works even better. I had issues with the Eagle 1 product running too easily.

BMW sells a magic product for that. spray it over the wheels 4 or 10 minutes before washing, rinse and voila... shine like new

I've posted this before but there are no short cuts to properly cleaning and caring for your wheels.

Get a good spray on detergent like Sonax

Along with a mix of three brushes, one to clean the drum of the wheel, one to clean the spokes and the easily accessible places and a detail brush to get the bolts, caliper and the corners of the spokes.

Use these brushes with a bucket of the car wash of your choosing and a grit guard in the bottom. Takes about 5 to 7 minutes per wheel for a "dirty" wheel and removes all the soil from the corners of the spokes.

Good walk through here. Happy detailing.
