valvetrain pics plz.

Looking to see how clean he valvetrain is on engines which use Castrol.

Anyone?

I can give you the Pix you want but is from my '00 328i, not a 'd'. BMW branded castrol synthetic every 8K miles. Engine has 140K miles in the picture. Nothing was cleaned for the pix, just the valve cover removed (and gaskets still attached to the head). Was the begnning of the Vanos rebuild. I think this is pretty darn clean. But d's run cooler than gas engines so not sure what impact that has. Also have pictures from our '00 540iT, but they essentially look the same.
