Polar bear, eating vanilla ice cream, drinking milk..... Yup, heated seats was one option I had to have. But not much else: BT/USB, sat radio and that was about it.

Yah, man - that hurts. I can't bring myself to expose mine to Toronto roads in the winter.

I know....but I can't bring myself to put it away for 4 months either!

I actually don't have a snow set up yet. i just got it, and I also have a 530xi with snows, so I don't drive it in snow, going to hold out and get a snow set up next year. Just this day, I drove it home after the snow was cleared.

Yah they're completely useless in the snow, as I discoved on the day of this picture.....but its actually been a really mild winter here, very few days below 0 (32deg F) and the 1M's been parked on those days. Frustrating....can't wait for summer.....

Makes you wish BMW included remote starters with these cars....

I'm rocking a Blizzack LM-60 setup and had no issues with Thursday's storm.

Here's my baby M wearing some snow shoes (Blizzaks on 19" VMR wheels). Our frozen roads and frigid weather (-30F) have not been a problem. However, I've taken it easy, only putting on about 400 miles since taking delivery over a month ago.

I picked up the BMW winter tire package, and it's been reasonable for the moderate temperatures (0C or so) we've been having. Today was the first accumulation since I've got them, but didn't get a chance to try them out in the morning before the roads were cleared.

I'm hoping I'll have a similar experience with the pilot alpin's.

Been driving in the snow and ice with my Nokkian Hakka 7 (spikes). Excellent winter car. And extremely fun to put it in M-mode and traction control off! Laughed a lot I can tell you! Extremely fun! But don't turn off traction in anything but very controlled environments as the car is a beast on winter roads without it. This is with spikes and some of the best winter tires in the world... ;-)

Those wheels look good HERR FSTIR. I definitely like sticking with the 19s vs. going to 18s on this car.

I'm going to have to figure find something before next winter. Is that a square set up?

Nope. 235 up front and 255 on the rear wheels. Using 15 mm spacers on the front.

Good discussion of various setups in this thread (my specs listed on #47):
