another ipod thread.....
i have searched and there are sooooooo many ipod threads and once i start to read them i see that everyone has a new way of hooking up the ipod. i just need this 1 question answered and then this thread can be locked, deleted, watever....
i have the small monster ipod charger with the line input built into the charger itself. as many users were saying, this causes static/whining noise through the speakers. i also have the 24 inch cable that has right angles on both sides. however, i cant use the charger and the cable at the same time. what charger are you guys using to charge the ipod and fit the right angle 3.5mm plug at the same time? thanks. |

http://www.amazon.com/Monster-Cable-...378464&sr=8-12 You can connect to the line out or the iPod headphone jack itself and you won't have any static. The quality of your cable is what's causing it. I bought the Monster cable and actually connected it to the headphone jack, which is worse than the line-out, and there still wasn't static because of the insulation of the Monster cable.

before i bought this....http://www.soundprofessionals.com/cg...item/SP-SPSC-7 (just got that a few days ago and havent tested it yet.)
i was using a cable i bought from best buy. it works fine, no static, when i have it plugged into the ipod. the static starts when i plug it into the monster cable. if the cable is bad, why doesnt it cause any static when plugged directly into the ipod? |
