M6 pre-order charge?
Hey everyone,
First post here... been reading the forums for a while. Anyway, I was dead set on ordering a new 650i coupe until I started seeing all of the M6 shots. Didn't realize it would be available so soon. My dealer says that they are now taking M6 pre-orders, and it requires a $1000 deposit. Was just wondering if that was normal for a dealer to do that. Thanks. |

Like I said, I've done it in the past well before the E46 & E92 M3s were releases or in the E92s case officially shown. Having a deposit will not make a difference in negotiating the final price of the car. I agree that there may be a few M6s on the floor waiting for a purchaser given the current economy but if you are a serious buyer who wants the car your way that shouldn't matter to you one way or another. You're still gonna purchase the car and your deposit is going toward the purchase. If you want to insure you have an allocated spot then put the (refundable) deposit. If you are a wait and see kind of person then do just that and do not put the deposit.
Make sure your paperwork is in order.... |
