Garaged 100% of the time, driven exclusively by me (40 plus year old family man …no joke)

One small scratch on the lower rocker panel otherwise the car is clean.
Located by the Hamptons.

Remainder of factory warranty 4yrs 50k miles including FREE MAINTENANCE (oil changes, wiper blades, brake pads)

Tires replaced at 25k miles, brake pads have at least 66%+ lining left although

BMW will replace them a NO charge under their maintenance coverage if needed.

That doesn't exactly add up. You either owe much less to the bank or are on some serious extended terms of you owe 28k @ 400/month. I am interested in a trade, I have a 11' 335d fully loaded M sport bla blah blah. It's a lease however, but If you are looking to shorten your term from 3+ years to a year and a half and be able to walk away from the car without getting killed on depreciation then it may be a good deal for us.

Yes .... loan terms are long. Loan terms don't matter to me as I would NEVER get to the end. I would be interested in trading for a 335d however I am not looking to increase my monthly payments. No offense but $48k or $700 plus per month I am driving a slightly use M3.

I am a bit confused because in your positing for taking over the lease on your car you mentioned that "it is simply too small fo someone my size (6'5), and other passengers". I am sure you realize that my one 1 is smaller than your current car?

This is hypothetical and I am feeling out options just as tou are.The 1 series will go to my girlfriend, and I will pick up a new passat TDI or something comparable. Yes, the 3 series and 1 series are both small cars, the difference is we will own the 1 series so I don't really care how many miles she puts on the car as opposed to her exceeding the lease miles

I see, I really don't keep my cars for very long so 18 months at $700 per month is a real long time with one car and a ton of money monthly. Besides I drive about 2k - 3k miles per month so I would end it being way over on the allotted lease miles.
