You may have been looking for it in the little pouch that some of the other BMW mobility systems are packaged in. The one in our cars has the inflator and bottle of goo as separate items and are located next to the battery.

Not there, got my car towed to the dealership. Hit a piece of metal on I-4, lost left front and rear tires. Thanks God I have the tire warranty. They say that tomorrow the manager will look at this issue.

Mine disappeared in the BMW service, I noticed this and after a week they felt the need to replace it with a new set. I told them that if I have an accident or so (exactly like yours) I am gonna put the blame on them. Maybe your original set also got lost in this fashion because it is almost impossible that they forget to put one from the factory. This set is kind of popular among some people I guess, maybe workers with kids who have bicycles and who are low in work ethics, don't know.

Unless somehow it was taken out by customs (highly unlikely) don't see how the factory forgot it. FWIW, I had to take my warning triangle after ED because I was told it will be taken away by customs, maybe you have a rookie guard who was trying to impress his bosses first day on the job: "Look guys, I found some mysterious apparatus" LOL

I found mine was not in my car when I read the manual...I raised hell and they finally gave me one...They told me that BMWNA 1M's didn't come with them...Asses!

Good luck! Fight them for the mobility kit and tell them you want some M accesories for your troubles!

Why didn't it help when you needed it? Just curious.

I have mine, but then again, I did Euro Delivery and had to fly back with it so it wouldn't get removed during customs.

Since we are on the topic, would any of you actually use the tire slime they provide? I can only imagine the mess it would make inside of the wheel/tire. And it can't be good for the TPMS either. I would much rather just wait and call roadside assistance.

I'm not really familar with the BMW kit but if it is not a latex sealant I would be very hessitant to use it. I used slime in a tire once and couldn't get it patched. The slime didn't work and it couldn't be cleaned out sufficient for patching. If I wanted to use one of these kits, I would use this one:

http://www.tirerack.com/accessories/...|b|6698483173&

It uses a latex sealant you are supposed to be able to clean off for patching. It also uses the pump to force the sealant into the tire. I don't know how the BMW works but squeezing a tube of sealant in through the valve stem is a mess.

They don't work if you damage the Tim or have big hole. Spare still rules!
