yet another mobility kit

Has anyone tried this mobility kit? It has a pump but instead of using goo, it uses some sort of mushroom shaped plugs that expand under pressure.

(not referring to the plug kit. scroll down to the mobility kit.)

Interesting find...I was hesitant to get the Continental kit because of the so called "goo" and the likely chance of ruining the TPMS sensor. I wonder how these mushroom plugs work.

Seems like more work because you'll have to find and remove the nail or whatever and then shove the plug in. Maybe it's worth it to not ruin the TPMS sensor though.

I think this one is a little more expensive as well, $130 vs I think around $80 for the Continental kit.

It's a compressor with some plugs. I suggest buying Continental/M mobility and an $8 tire plug kit (Slime).

Plug kits are a cheap backup if the Continental/M mobility fails to seal the puncture which can happen. Or maybe you just don't want to use sealant with TPMS. If your then unsuccessful with plugging the tire which can be difficult sometimes then I guess it's time to call roadside (AAA, bmw, geico, etc.).

This is the reason I recommend the M mobilty kit over the Continental. It uses separate hoses for air and for sealant. The air hose is still 100% usable and is not clogged with sealant.

Do you guys know if roadside assistance brings you a spare? If they do then I won't buy the mobility kits.

What about this kit?
http://slime.com/product.php?product=CRK0305

It's 19.99 at Target and the instruction say that it is water soluble, so it should clean off the TPMS when you have the tire repaired. Every expert I've spoken to recommends also patching the tire from the inside for High-speed wheels.
