17 inch wheels on E92

Is it just me or do 17 inch wheels look way too small for the body dimensions on an E92? The body on 17s appears overbearing for such small wheels. When I first bought my car, I didn't really notice them because I hadn't compared the 17s and 18s yet. But after seeing the car on 18s, it just looks so much more well proportioned and balanced.

I've decided I'm either going to grab a set of 18s or just trade the car for a 335i E92.

Do smaller wheels affect performance, or is it purely an aesthetic choice to get larger rims?

Both! Pros and cons to both, depends on weight, width, offset, tire, etc

SMDH! That thing looks like it's on training wheels! BMW should be ashamed for letting a car leave the factory looking like that.

I am quite surprised that my spider spoke 17s with their winter tires look as proportionately as good as they do having come down 2 sizes from the summer 19s.

19's look better than 18's but could bend and crack if driving on poor condition roads and yes i have had both so be aware.Don't get me wrong on the 19's just coupled with run flats make for a poor mix...Love my 18's.
