Will a rim with 19mm offset fit on e90??? thx!

Hi,

Great forum, I just purchased a 2006 325i Manual 6-speed with the sports package and was wondering if I'd be able to fit 5 x 120 bolt 17x8" rims with a bore of 72.6 and 19mm offset (cheap m5 replicas). I bought winter tires and need a cheap rim to mount them on. Currently, I have 225/45/17's in front and 255/40/17 in the back with rim style 161's.

I'm pretty sure the 72.6 will fit (just want your expert opinion), I'm more worried about the 19mm offset for fitment... or if it will look funny.

I look forward to reading though more of your posts throughout this forum!

Thanks.

I just saw and used the calculator above... and it gave me this... 15mm MORE clearance on the strut side, and the outside edge of the wheel will EXTEND an extra 15mm. I'm a noob and can't make sense out of that... sorry. Any help would be appreciated. Thx

btw, the calc I did above was assuming the OEM rims have a 34mm offset , which I have no clue if that's correct.

Is the offset the same for both front and rear at +19? That wont fit without some work, lowered, cambered, rolled and pulled. Sounds like a waffle house order...

I think the Sports Package comes with a bit lowered suspension... not sure if that helps... so a 19mm offset is no good then? Not sure I get the 'waffle house' order thing, but I'm assuming that it's not a good thing. Thanks for the response!

19mm offset is all wrong for an e90. Do not buy.

Holy fff, don't listen to the idiots who posted saying no. It will fit no problem with 225/45.

IF YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND WIDTH VS. OFFSET, DON'T POST RECOMMENDATIONS.

255/40 should work depending on tire brand, ride height, camber, and fender roll
255 on an 8" is stupid though

215-225 on a 8" is all you need.

Sorry, I should have mentioned that I picked up a set of winter rubbers already (Blizzaks) and I'm looking for cheap rims to throw them on for the winter.

They are...

2 x 225/45/17
2 x 245/40/17

So I'd be putting 245's on an 8" rim... not 255's... is that still really bad?

Re: Tire brand: They are Bridgestone Blizzaks, Ride height: stock suspension (Sports package), Camber and Fender Roll I have no idea what that is... but if it refers to the car and not the tires... everything is stock.

Thanks for your replies so far... I'm siding on not picking them up because of the 19mm offset... but they're a very good deal.

Still open to suggestions though.

I agree with PCemkr. If you don't know then don't post. You will fit fine. No problem. I'm running 19x8.5 front offset 20 with 245 tires. I had to do a fender roll but your rims are 8's and your running a 225 tire TONZ of room.

He's trying to run 225s on an 8" at et 19. It will rub up front. Not bad, but it will rub on bumps in the road.
