Eating ps2 rft rears like a mother on 335i.

I have 37k miles on my car. I still have the factory front original OEM PS2 since the day I took delivery of the car.

I am just nearly about to go through the 2nd rear pair of the PS2 oem rft yet the front factory original pair still has about 25% tread left. This is insane! I'm burning through the rears like a mofoggin criminal !!!

increase your air pressure and get your alignment checked every 6 mos, unless you hit some shit, then get it checked immediately. Lifetime alignment is your friend.

What's your driving ratio? (Highway/Street). My oem continentals rft lasted longer than the non rft DWS I got just 6 months ago. I'm wondering the same as you...

already did alignment at 29k miles. Looked fine overall. rear toe out a bit but readjusted.

no accidents, no pot hole damages.

15k on the 2nd pair on the rear and i'm literally at 25% tread wear. tires are starting to be a money pit. I'm going to go kumho on this car. kumho is like 30% of the cost with 50% more life.

20k miles on a performance car with a 240 compound. Not unheard of at all.

+1, and 37k miles on the front seems very good.

Normal. I go through PS2's every 7 to 10k miles. My neighbors Caymen S has them and he is at the wear bars at just over 10k miles. The stickier the tire the shorter the wear especially if used at temps below 45 degrees.

is the tire wearing evenly? if yes, and your toe is close to 0, it's just the amount of power you're putting down. nature of the beast.

My tires wear evenly front and rear. Recently had alignment done 6k miles ago. Rear toe was out but nothing serious.

70% highway/30% city. MPG avg about 21-22mpg.

temperature in socal has been cold lately with an occasional spike of warm weather. I've been guilty of a few weekly stoplight pedal mashing by myself. Other than that, I don't really drive this car that hard. It is just a cruiser on the socal freeway.

i can't afford these RFTs anymore. I think I'm going put on some Kumho or Yokohama 420+ treadwear next time and throw a spare in the trunk.

What is your alignment specs? Is it set for BMW factory alignment specs?

Factory BMW alignment specs has a lot of toe which causes the rear tires to wear out quicker than the fronts. I have seen a lot of the Bridgestone RFT wear out on the inside to the steel belts while the rest of the tire had a lot of meat left. The reason why they do it is for safety/liability reasons.

Not uncommon at all. Approx 20k miles on the rears is what you're at and that is pretty typical of this class of tire on your car.
