335i Sport ordered!

my just ordered 335i Sport is in 112 status, ready to build next week!

this is going to be a painful 2 months, at least i can use my Z4 topless in AZ this time of year.

thanks, how long did i take once it left Germany?
i am hoping to take delivery the 1st week of April.

dealer told me 6-8 weeks, leaning toward 8 weeks.

The boat trip from Germany to Port Hueneme CA is usually 22 days. If you car gets completed next week, you should easily have it by first week of April.

It depends. Did your dealer use an existing production slot to build out your car and did he give you a production number? If he did, he can tell you in DCS (BMW tracking system) what build week you car is scheduled for.

i was given a production number, and i my build week is week 8 (next week).

Mine is week eight also. So figure the car is done by the end of next week, a few days to get to port and on a ship. 22 days at sea. A few more days at VPC, then on a truck to the dealer. We should easily have our cars by the first week of April.

my guy said 29 days at sea? maybe he included VPC and transport to AZ?

regardless our cars can't come quick enough!!!

Yeah... he must have included VPC and truck ride. This is my fourth order and they have all been 21-23 days from Bremmerhaven to Point Hueneme.

I had one order in 2003 that swam in circles off shore for a week while the dock workers at Point Hueneme were on strike.

excellent, thanks for the info! my lease is up april 20, so anytime before that date will keep me happy.

wow you must have been going berserk not knowing when the ship would port, back in '03.

Mine was travelling the oceans from Bremerhaven to PH for 19-20 days. It arrived late last Sunday, two days ahead of schedule. Still waiting for delivery, though...

You should have it any day. When the car gets to VPC in Oxnard they give your dealer a guaranteed delivery date. He can check that for you in DCS.
