Thoughts on a BOV or a Wastegate?

Any thoughts on either of these two?

I'm going with a CP-E or ER CP and a Tial BOV. This BOV seems to be the best out there and is also the quietest option which is what I'm particularly looking for.

... they are on different sides of the turbo ...

You meant a diverter valve or a bov?

You know if there are videos with that option (videos of other cars as well?)

Yea I know, but some people like one over the other or some people have both.

IMO, the sound of a blow off valve does not belong on a BMW. Much prefer the quiet diverter.

Wastegate is already on our car. So in saying wastegate, you meant a diverter valve?

My opinion is that bov performance wise is useless on our car unless you increase boost to higher levels.

Wastegate controls the flow of exhaust gases through the hot side of the turbo, allowing you to control boost.

A bypass valve/blow off valve controls pressure and pressure release on the cold (post-intercooler) / compressed side of the system. It helps with preventing damage to the turbo when you close the throttle plate abruptly in between shifts.

While on the topic of BPV / BOV, can our cars safely run a BOV? Where are our MAF sensors located?
