Huet Coupe RR
Apparently this thing is based on a 1M chassis.
Guess thats some validation for the 1M right there. People dont select chassis for stuff like this if it isnt good. http://www.autoblog.com/2012/02/18/h...els/#continued |

I think it's the M, not clear how much. According to their website:
"The chassis platform is that of a BMW Coupe 1 series M. But it is a copy of the platform in carbon fiber which molds into the monocoque. We use the BMW subframes which are bolted on the monocoque." The top engine option is the M motor rated at 330 hp, and that motor is only available with the manual while the others are available double clutch gearboxes. Sounds like a fair bit of 1M in there. All turbo motors, though- they should have had the M3 V8 as an option. http://www.hbcoupe.com

Interesting concept. Now that I've looked at the pics on a real screen I like the shape. The long hood reminds me of the Z4 MC. That long hood could house just about any engine. The wheels look to be our 1M/M3 performance wheels so I'll take back my "no M" statement for now.
I vote Pete buys one and puts an S65 in right away.

I'm not going to lie. I really like the way it looks. It's shape is quite similar to the Mercedes SLS.
So... where and how can we shed 300kg hahaha 3.8 sounds amazing, and imagine the cornering!

Since the Huet has an entirely unique body, I figure it's a 1-series chassis with upgrades suspension/drivertrain pieces from the E9x M3. Suspect they're just trying to catch additional marketing buzz from referring to the 1M. Neil |
