Share your KWV3 Settings
Fellow members with KWV3 here. Mind to share your rebound and compression/bump settings? I wanna tweak around with them since I found mine a bit harsh after breaking in. Also, want to improve more on reducing body roll.
The basic set up is as follow as indicated in the technical documents. I have been running with these settings. Front axle- Rebound: 9 clicks open Bump: 6 clicks open Rear axle- Rebound: 9 clicks open Bump: 6 clicks open

I don't have any body roll and I just have springs. Do you have the anti roll stabilization option or no?

No I don't. I have come from stock to H&R sport spring and now KWV3 coilovers. KWV3 is absolutely fantastic and many times better than the stock. I don't mean I have unpleasant body roll now. But I just want to improve a bit by tweaking the settings of the KWV3. Sometimes I just go crazy on twisty roads, KWV3 certainly can handle these road since these coilovers are suitable for tracking as well. Just need to have the right settings.

In Hong Kong, me, ICIC and cwong have KWV3. These guys have share the settings with me and they are both on: Front axle- Rebound: 7 clicks open Bump: 6 clicks open Rear axle- Rebound: 8 clicks open Bump: 6 clicks open I have just adjusted my settings from basic to the followings since I found previously my ride is kind of harsh: Front axle- Rebound: 11 clicks open Bump: 6 clicks open Rear axle- Rebound: 11 clicks open Bump: 6 clicks open After adjustment it has been more comfortable at low speed drive, however it is more bouncy at high speed.

I've got them as well but have zero idea what the actual settings are... I'd gave to ask my installer. They should be right in the middle settings wise... That's what they said after install. Not sure what that equates to clicks and bump-wise.

Thanks for sharing. Middle settings should be the basic set up as I indicated in my 1st post. How's your ride quality?

It's a completely different car from stock. I still can't believe the difference. Body roll is so much better (almost non existent). And the lunge from start is gone. I will definitely go more stiff soon... Might raise it just s bit more for spacers too. I LOVE them.

I just wish that KW will make an electronic adjustable version for our F10

Tires may also affect the performance too. My Advan Sport is kind of harsh. I have driven Michelin PS2 of another member's F10 with the same set up (previous H&R sport springs), ride quality much more comfortable for his PS2.

Just swap and they have a kit to disable your electronic signal. Jakeem has done so.

My F10 has the ARS on KW V3.
I also drive my car 100% on sport+ mode with reduced traction control. The settings I'm using are based off the KW V3 out of the box recommended settings, which I dont remember off the top of my head. But from the recommended setting I had the BUMP setting made stiffer/harder than the recommended by half a revolution which is 2 clicks. I dont know if that helps much at all but there is nothing you can do about the body roll in this car as its 4100lbs for a 535i and 4400lbs for a 550i. Also what type of tires are you using on your car? I can tell you right now from the tires I've used with the KW V3 are as follows: Michelin runflats are horrible on 19" stock msport wheels Hankook K110 V12 on 20" BBS LM-R, good grip, average road noise (barely better than runflats), average ride quality you could feel how hard the tire is on level changes on the road surface. Michelin Pilot Super Sport 21" on vorsteiner wheels: Its a very soft tire, good grip, excellent road noise (very very quiet even on bad roads), basically this tire just eats up road imperfections. The only reason I bring up tires is because I've had the same setting on these 3 tire variations above and the steering, ride quality, and noise were noticeably affected by the tires I had on my car.

I have the Yokohama Advan Sport 20". Kind of harsh and noisy, grip is average. I can feel most imperfections on the road. PSS should be my tire of choice for next change.
