Removing Stock Muffler

So I installed the Berk midpipes the other day and am now in the process of getting the Eisenmann installed. I tried last night for 2+ hours to try and get the stock rear muffler off the exhaust hangers. No luck. Each hanger is about half way off and I cannot get it to go any farther. What have you guys done to get these two hangers off? Would you recommend an exhaust hanger removal tool or cut the hangers and replace with new ones? I have been using WD-40 and vise grips...

I just used a flat screwdriver to stick in the hanger hole and helped slipped the big peg over the rubber hanger, all whilst wiggling stock exhaust. Stick a screwdriver in there and try that, it worked for me, and my hangers are 4 years old on my 135.

Alright got the stock muffler off and have the Eisenmann installed. Will post pics soon. FYI, I purchased exhaust hanger removal pliers...all I can say is wow, definitely a great tool to have. Cost $25 at Napa and got each hanger off in less than 10 seconds.

glad you got the pliers, they have a big mouth and they just yank those hangers out like butter (the exhaust shop guy had them when i towed the car there the next day)
