Almost ready to order, need opinion on this combo
Ok, I know this is all subjective and the only thing that matters is if it looks good to me, but just for the sake of conversation....
I am getting the Sedan and my first interior combo was the black Poplar wood trim w/ beige, but it seems that the black poplar is a coupe only option. I called the dealer and they said even with a special order they couldn't do it. SO...... My second choice is the brushed aluminum trim with beige. My wife thinks I am nuts and says it doesn't match well at all. I disagree. I don't like either of the brown woods, so that leaves aluminum. BTW the exterior wil be Sparkling Graphite Metallic

IMO, SG does not go well with beige. It goes better with black or terra. And if you must insist on aluminum trim, I say go with black leather.
Just my $.02.

I agree with the above opinion, and that's all it is, an opinion. I kinda think brushed aluminum has sort of gone out a little, carbon fiber being what is in. But with the choices at hand, I'd say wood with beige, but not with SG. Aluminum with a darker interior such as black. And as far as I know it's gray poplar in the coupe, at least that's what it was when I ordered. |

But Yeah Listen to the wife. I'd do the Dark Walnut with Beige if you have to have beige, it'll class up the joint a little bit. OR BETTER, do the Terra leather, it's really pretty.

Have to agree with the other posters. Aluminum and beige does not sound like a combo that would appeal to many. If YOU like it, go for it, however. Usually aluminum looks best with black leather. Beige, btw, is hard to keep clean. Just a consideration.

How about SG with Terra and aluminum? I've saddle and aluminum (coupe) and it looks fantastic. I felt the same about the wood as you did.

One more thought on the Brushed aluminum...
You'll find it on everything from Mustangs to Hyundai's Tiberoun, it's lifeless/cold, and it looks exactly like everyone else's Aluminum trim. At least with the wood veneer you get real character, real interest, and uniqueness.

the aluminum trim doesn't go well with the beige
if you're set on aluminum trim, you should get a darker interior, like black or terra. otherwise either wood trim will look good with beige.

SG with beige? Beige with aluminum? Ugh and ugh. If you DO get that, I hope you lease it so you are not stuck with trying to sell it. That will not be a popular combo at all in the used market. Just my opinion.

Personally, I think the only trim that goes with beige is walnut. Like you said, it's personal preference.

Ok, after some long thought and my wife's " I told you so" after reading thru these threads with me, I think I will go with the Aluminum and black trim w/ the SG exterior.
I really wish I could have the gray poplar wood though that is offered in the coupe.
