328i ordered!!!!

Ordered a 328i yesterday! I went back and forth to a few dealers and finally made a decision. I decided to get the tech package because I feel that if I'm keeping the car as long as I say I am...(lol) it will be worth it in the long run. This car will also STAY STOCK. I know it will be hard, but I will try to stick to it. Maybe blacked out kidney grills at the most.

Alpine white
Sport line
Black and aluminum
Black leather
Premium
Premium sound
Xenons
Cold weather

I'm super excited about it. Let's hope I get a fast delivery!

Lol! I'm coming from an Evo, that was decently modded. I just put it back to stock before bringing it for trade in and I was just in love with how it drove stock. Sure, it was down about 100 hp to the wheels, but it really is hard to beat stock! Aesthetic mods only!!!

I'll be looking for support from my bimmer post brethren lol.

I completely agree with you. I had some performance mods on my e90 and it completely highjacked the smoothness of the inline 6. I didn't realize how much it was actually interfering with the stock dynamics until I removed all the mods before trading it in yesterday. I had about a week of driving on the full stock car and it was a revelation - I almost didn't want to get rid of it after that! Definitely no mods for the new F30 (beyond maybe some cosmetic stuff).

I ordered mine on the 5th and it is still at 112. The website hasn't updated at all yet. Still shows a white 328i, no options specified.

Did you get your production week from your salesman?

Nope. I called and it says scheduled for production with no date set.

I ordered a 335i in the same colors w the same packages as you did...

Ordered it on 3/2, received the production number a few days later. My car will complete production on 4/16 and hopefully I will have it here in Chicago in early/mid May.

Can't wait.

My car will enter production on 4/14 and complete production on 4/16... so it takes about two days to build it. Order-to-build wait time is 6 weeks, and it will take another 4-5 weeks to get to me after they build it. I was originally told "6-8 weeks from order to delivery" but it will be more like 12-13 weeks. The explanation I was given was that there is significant high demand for these cars worldwide.

Hope this helps -

I will be in the same boat, so kudos to you if you're able to hold out!

Is it common to see things on your build that you didn't order such as adaptive m suspension and different interior trim? My CA told me it may take a few days to see my exact specs. Anybody know or should I call the dealer? I don't want to slow down my build

Yeah I had the same thing.. bmwusa.com is quite weird with that. No worries, it will all be sorted out before you know it

From experience, how long does it usually take to finish production from the time production starts?
