E93 Vs 135 Convertible

Hello all!
I do not want to start a flame war with this, but let me explain my situation. I recently purchased a 335i E92 that I LOVE. Not thinking of replacing with either of the above cars. However, when I was shopping, I was initially leaning toward the 135i coupe. The woman would not allow a convertible, and I didn't feel like fighting that battle at this time, so I agreed, coupe for the win! This however eliminated about 70% of the 135s on most online searches, and made the 335i a much easier car to find equipped as I liked. It seems that the 135 is a SUPER popular car to get in the convertible, I did a little brainstorming and is this due to the ragtop? The E93 only comes in a hardtop and I have a feeling this is not only a significantly higher cost, but also a potential maintenance problem.I heard if body damage is ever done to the area it is boucoup expensive. Personally if I wanted a vert I would prefer the hardtop for 'top-up' noise quality and ride comfort but would obviously prefer the 135i price. What are your thoughts on this, are many buyers steered toward the 135i convertible based on the significant price break to the equal engined next BMW convertible?

I love the retractable hardtop on my 335is, bit it did add almost $10k to the base price.
No major issues at 10k miles.

I've had two E93's. I love the hard top. I wish they would have made the M6 with a hard top, and done something with the ugly rear end . It would have been my next car. Oh well.

Check the boards and you will find almost no issues about the e93 tops. Then check the price and weight spread between 135 and 335. Fast, cheap(er) and vert sells lots of cars.
