DS and Sport

I'm confused at which does what. I'll put what I believe to be correct and hopefully you will respond with "yay" or "nay" and a correct answer! Bear in mind I'm talking about a car (my car) with standard steering and suspension. Plus its Sport Auto on the Luxury Line so no Sport + :/
Okay, here we go...

Sport Mode
Sharpens up the steering (even standard steering)
Sharpens up throttle response
Holds gears closer to the red-line
Holds gears 1 or 2 higher than normal (comfort).

DS
Sharpens up throttle response
Holds gears closer to the red-line
Holds gears 1 or 2 higher than normal (comfort).
Are gear changes sped up too?

And one more question; how do I get "S" gears? Such as on YouTube it sometimes shows on their display from say M1 to S1. How have they done that and what is the effect of it?

Now do you see why some of us prefer a MANUAL transmission?

There are plenty other manual vs auto debates elsewhere.

Ah right, so if I put it in DS and then start using the paddles, it will show S1, S2, S3, etc... If I take over with the paddles in D, it shows M1, M2, M3, etc.. Makes sense!

I'm just after confirmation of Sport and DS now

actually if you use the paddles in DS it would just go from S2, S4...to M2 M4..when ever you are shifting it is gonna be M when the car is shifting it is either D or S
