How to get a good start?

Hi!

I find it quite hard to get a good start with the Z4. When i turn on the sport-mode and the anti-spinn off i get a lot of wheel spinn.

Do you guys or girls have any tips and tricks?

BR

Not sure what to tell you...I enjoy my wheel spin

Try feathering the throttle or jumping off at lower RPMs

Practice, practice, practice. My starts had become rusty when I didn't drive my car over the winter. My launches are much smoother now.

Hi!

Thanks for youre responces...

Hehe.. yes itīs probably the only way to get out and practice..

I thinks itīs all litle bit strange that according to tv shows like top gear, the Z4 should be faster than the audi tt on dry.

But when i see people race each other a four wheel system cars always win the start...

Is it easier to get a good start if you turn the esp partly of?

All wheel drive like quattros or subies will always get a better start, they have more traction, but you'll almost always get them in the turns as they have more understeer than RWD.

For better launches, maybe one of these will help: http://www.zeckhausen.com/cdv.htm

I'll be putting mine on sometime in the next week or two.

Edit:
I also noticed that the BMW needs a softer touch to the clutch, dropping the clutch just seems like a big no-no with these cars. I'm hoping the modified CDV I install will rectify this.
