Just installed some HID Fogs

I have HID bulbs in the headlights, had to use relays for them and they work great.

Bought a second kit so I can install them in the fogs, bought the relays, connected it all the same way as the headlights, turned them on and POP ! No bueno.

After some reading I came across a post saying that you don't use the error message canceller for the fogs. I tried it again without the relay harness. WORKS !

I did this yesterday, kept one Halogen fog in and one Xenon fog in. Worked no problem, no error messages. Today I installed the second one, WORKS ! But.. then the lights went out. Turned off the car, turn it on, they are back and working. No problem. Get in the car and drive off, Error message and the lights went out. Keep restarting the car to get them back on.

What could be the problem here?

2006 is a finicky year. Need Canbus HID or it will do that. They dont just throw and error, but the car actually shuts off that circuit. I even tried to code out the error check on mine and it still didnt work.

Going to try to buy some canbus HID kit soon to try out.

Good Luck

Some canbus kits work better then others.
The highperformancebulbs.com kit has had a good success rate, however, at the end of the day if they still dont work you simply need to have your car coded.
