Looks great. Hows the performance compared to the 335d, I have a 335d and an X5 35d which has a few bhp less than your 40d. Is quite noticably slower than the 335d though because of weight.
Are there any cracking deals on new X5s, did you lease it? |

335d is way quicker as it hits out 350+bhp...and yes the noticeable difference is apparent. With Evolve, I'm hoping the difference isn't too much.
I bought this one as it was only couple months old and had only done 2k. Saved ££££'s off its £61k original invoice

Looks very nice mate! What is it like in comparison to the RR Sport you had in your signature, that looked a serious machine!
I've noticed you are trying to sell the 335, any reason for not pxing it? BMW taking the p**s with the value i assume. |

That's a tough one to answer as each has its own merits....but overall driveability has to be going to X5. BUT, my RRS was the old model and not MY10 which has addressed all the faults of the previous model. Still, I feel LR have missed a major trick by not having a more powerful diesel in their line up to keep up the X5. I wasn't sure what the plans were for the 335d and yes I was probably put of by their offer to be honest. Part of me is now thinking to keep it or swapping for another BM I've been offered

I reckon the lease deals will improve later this year or maybe early next year on the X5 as the replacement model is imminent. Also it is becoming harder to shift big 4x4 vehicles so that should help the deals.

I don't think this current model as sold as well as the previous generation - perhaps due to RRS as a competitor. Is that right? I certainly, don't see that many of them about.

Not sure the lack of sales is as much to do with the RRS but more the economy and the drive towards lower emissions and more fuel efficiency. Means the big 4x4s have gone out of favour. also they used to be the fisrt port of call for any young builder who reckoned he was a property developer. It was along to the BMW dealer to lease the best X5 he could get, now they have all been repossessed.

True, I feel this might put spanners in the works for me come 3 years when mine will go. However from pictures of what the new X will look like, I'm not that worried I was when e46 changed to e92. Quote:
