Does the e92 ... ?
Back when I had my 99 VW Passat... i read on forums just like this one. One of the things i found was that if you pressed a certain combo on the ac/radio unit you could get digital readings.. For instance one combo was your actual speed showing up on your radio in digital format. Which is great since the actual speedometer and digital reading had a 3-5 mph difference.
I am not sure if the e9x does this or not. I havent done any elaborate searches on this. Maybe that new guy who works on BMW's from GA can tell us.

Yea...this can be done...you do it by holding down the odometer reset, then i think you add together the last 4 digits of your vin and input that, and it bring up the test menu (i think that is what it is called) I know it can be done, it is in kph though. Try a search for test menu or hidden menu, or odometer maybe..I wish i could be more help....but to answer you question...YES..it can!

Or how about "up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right, b, a, start"! I'm sure someone knows what sequence that is....

It's in the test steps for the instrument cluster. Yes, you must hold down left button in the cluster until the test steps come up. Next you must go to step 19 and enter the sum of the last 7 numbers (don't count any letters, only numbers in the last 7 digits) to unlock the test steps. I use these all the time to see how much fuel is in each side of the fuel tank and also to see battery voltage when checking for faulty alternators.

Pretty much any Konami game! I used it on Contra 3 and on Castlevania!

Right Contra and other Konami games, so it was known as the Konami code.

Last time I tried it with iDrive, it brought up a single player version of PONG.
Worst part is, I don't have the high score.... so I guess we now know why it takes the techs so long to "update" the car!
