Bosch Fuel Pump?

Well I got my e93 back today after having the fuel pump replaced and I had a chat with the parts manager about getting another pump on order as I'm driving down to Italy next month and wanted to take one with me, just in case.

While he wouldn't be specific, he suggested I might be a little hasty as the the current pump could be obsolete at some point in the near future. I asked him to keep me informed if that should happen.

Watch this space.

you cant order a spare pump anyways... not only is it about 1200 bucks, but also all orders without a verified PUMA case number will be rejected because of short supply.

Ah, it's not as simple as that. The e93 325 has the 3.0 litre straight six with high pressure fuel system a la 335. The e92 has the 2.5 litre straight six as does the e90 and e91 without high pressure system.

Hope that helps.

Yes I can this is England so we're not subject to the same rules as our North American cousins.

I had this issue with another car, basically they end up upgrading your old cars fuel pump and system to the new cars specs. I got a new fuel pump and lines along with a bunch of labor but only payed for the fuel pump and labor to replace it with the original the rest was covered by Mercedes under what they call a "courtesy warranty extension". aka they had many problems and probably some class action suit coming up against them.

Can anyone tell me what a PUMA case is? I has a converter lock up excessive slip on 330cic auto tranny and got them to fix it out of warranty at a decent discount. They said it was a PUMA case.
