Maintenance Plan Price UP? June 18?

Hey guys, just wanted to check if any of you have the details like how much will it go up by? Hunterdon and Morristown both said that it'll increase this month. So I want to see if I should get it? And how much is it going up (justify buying now or later)?

Thanks!

Although you better hurry, if you're going to get it before the increase.

Is it just the maintenance program, or is the extended warranty price also increasing?

Probably raising the prices due to worsening reliability. Have you seen recent J.D. Power ratings for initial quality?

nah, i bet it's due to euro to USD conversion and also the increase in repairs (fuel pump issues..etc)

About $1k or so. Of course dealers will always mark it up so if you're planning to get it, start with a low (really low) offer and just go up (dont exceed $1k though).

What do you mean we don't negotiate for this? If that is the case, then the price is the same every where? I doubt that.

the bottom line is $985 (MSRP from BMW as in brochures)...they can quote you $1300 w/ MARKUP (which i did get that quote) but $985 is the lowest they'll go...if u dont trust me...go ahead find a better deal

Just called my dealer, and the cost is being set on your model. For my E90, I was quoted 1095 for today and tomorrow. Starting Monday, it is going up to 1595!!!!

I was also told that you can not just get it over the phone, they have to do something with your key.

HMMmm..... hate to cough up that much cash so far in advance, but a 50% increase in cost? ISHHhhh.....

Do you know if that is the ONLY reason you have to go into the dealer?

They do NOT have to "do something with your key". They may be required to verify the mileage but some will accept your statement of mileage via phone or email. That's the way I did it.

With your VIN they can access your records from anywhere in the country and add the Extended Maintenance so that any BMW Service Dept will see that you have it.

I read the inclusions and exclusions, and I do not know if it is worth it now. As soon as that initial 4 years are up, for that extra 1K you are not getting all that much. Think in it really worth it?

I bought my car, and am planning on keeping it a long time, but the list of exclusions seems very long.

Thoughts anyone?

per discussion with the dealership, it's actually an extension of the original maintenance plan. unless you're expecting the maintenance and warranty together...u know it's two different things right? many dont

No I did not know that. So you are stating that everything that is included in the warrenty plan is covered by extending it with this plan? Or are we just extending the maintenance plan?

I think I am confused now.....
