New 335xi Owner.........1 Word.......WOW
So like the title says I'm a new owner of a 335xi. Previously i had a 325i and prior to that I had a Acura RSX Type S that was supercharged pushing like 305whp.
So I bought a 335xi last night and got to really try it out today and all I have to say is WOW. On a clear highway keeping that car under 100mph is a challenge. And winding highways at those speeds is a breeze. I must say I am really blown away by the car's HP, torque, handling, etc Thought I would share it.

Haha j/k. Congrats! I just upgraded to a 335 as well and I too find myself creeping up to 100 very quickly on the hwy.

I picked up my 2k7 335i vert today from the dealer and I hit 120 on accident.
Seriously, I had no idea I was going that fast. It was a very quick lesson in "pay attention". Oh and congrats!!!!! |

Honestly the scariest part for me was when I was doing about 35mph.
Coming out of the dealer there was this really windy road before I hit the highway and the first curve in it (which wasn't really a curve but a course correction needed kind of curve). I went to steer and wow did that thing wanna turn. I was still getting used to the car so I was taking it slow but I wasn't prepared for that level of reactiveness. I mean, had my pinky been broken I probably still could have driven the car home using just my broken pinky to steer. That took some getting used to. |

my last car was a v8 cadillac seville with plenty of power, but it was nowhere near as available as it is on the 335 no matter how fast you're going. |

The only scary thing to think about is sooner or later the power will feel like nothing. And thats when the mod bug hits you.
And you crave more power.

The x drives handling is floaty at best, get some coils and the ride will be night and day.

You have the sports package not sports suspension. Look at your car, it rides high like a freaking jeep and it bothered me from day 1. Go to the xi section and read all about the options of coils, spring etc... Trust me, the handling is horrible on the xi compared to what a BMW is suppose to be. Lower that car and you will be amazed how better your handling is going to be.

to be quite honest I really am not 100% sure. I know the dealer said it had sport package on the car. So I thought sport included the bucket seats, remove top speed limiter, and suspension.

Yeah that was the only time when I had a little bit of an xDrive taste - went with my old Lexus IS300 to the dealer dealing with no traction at all to a "holy cow, this car is on rails" coming back in my 335.
