I put my first scratch in the car today..
My first post is my first scratch on my 2006 325i. It was a sad sad story. I was pulling in a parking spot right next to a wall when the right corner of my front bumper gently rubbed the wall. I got some minor but obvious scratch marks on my bumper but there arent any dents.
Again, it was a sad sad day |

While we're in confessional mode, I curbed a wheel parallel parking not 10 days after taking redelivery of my car. Fortunately the rim rash is not too bad and I'll leave it as is cause I'll do it again eventually.

What exactly did someone do? Seems like you're not upset in any way, quite interesting and what's your secret?

Yeah, I curbed one wheel about a month ago after owning it through the winter with no damage, and then just as I was getting over that one, I fucking did it again........I was so pissed at myself. I have never messed up a wheel, then I finally can afford a nice car, and I fuck up the wheels. I was so careful too. My GF was laughing at me because I tried kicking my own ass Good news, because my car was in the shop for 6 weeks with the faield fuel pump, I got offered a collateral exchange so I get a new car with perfect rims in a few weeks. THOSE RIMS I'M NOT GOING TO SCREW UP!!!!!!!

Thanks guys The good news is that you don't notice the scratch at all at night. Like someone already said, I'll just save up all my scratches and only make 1 trip to the shop to have them repainted all together (y)

I put the same mark on my 330i that I've had on every other car I've ever owned: The dreaded luggage dent on the back bumper. You may know this mark. It is accomplished by setting a heavy piece of luggage on your back bumper while trying to hastily load the car because you are 45 minutes behind schedule on your vacation itinerary. I have buffed it out but it's still noticeable but I did the exact same thing back in 1996 with a new car and that indent was much deeper and it pissed me off every single time I loaded something.
