ANyone heard much about the 135i?

I'm thinking about building a track weapon I can use as a daily driver, I read a C and D article this month that says the 135i is 300lbs lighter then the 335i.

SWEET!

I guess it's based on the old e46 platform so it should be very nimble. I'm thinking with some basic weight reduction mods this will be a 3200 lb ROCKET!

Does anyone know where I can get engineering specs on it? Or does anyone have any light to shed?

i have seem 3 threads to do with the 1 this week...

the search function sometimes excludes words that are too short or common (like "1") so I don't want to smash you too bad, but these threads do exist already

I just put down a deposit, I'm first at my dealer. Conditional upon it having the same drivetrain as my 335i w zf auto.

If you want as much info as possible, check out www.1additcts.com there are a lot of good photos and other stuff there. To my knowledge, there has been no official confirmation on the engine specs of the 1 coupe--some are saying it will get something like a detuned 335 TT, or a detuned NA engine that is similar to the one found in the 330i.

There is also speculation whether there will be a 135 or an M1, or both. There are some heritage and history reasons not to make the M1, from what I can gather.

Either way--it should be an absolute rocket.
