Road Hazard Protection

What is this? My dealer is telling me that this is useful just in case your rims break, etc...It's like 7-800$ CND...

So what is this, is it worth it? Has anyone opted for this and would it be a good decision. Also, isn't there roadside assistance with the car, as standard?

Btw, the dealer said that replacing the rims would cost 6000$ CND (I have the 19s). To me, that's way overpriced, and I'd expect something like 3000 with labor included...

Thanks - this is for a 335i

I think its worth it. I hit something on the freeway taking a chunk out of my ASA R1. Getting it fixed for free.
My plan gave me the option of denying the roadside assistance and just getting Wheel and Tire protection.

Forget it, you are driving in Montreal, not some place in the third world. If your rim bends or break, just get a better one (not BMW).

But does the roadside assistance come standard?

I contemplated spending the $550 to get Wheel & Tire insurance but ended up going with it in the end. I'm glad I did. I've replaced two tires with it thus far and it's great not having to pay for them at the time. I have a $2,000 ceiling limit on the insurance and with my $300 tires, the insurance has already paid for itself and I've got $1,400 more in insurance. I recommend it.
