So I'm new to the 335i, and I know their are different models such as
335i
335i is
335 xdrive
335 d

so what are the main differences? the is is the sport package correct? what model would i be better off with for better performance or a sporty look. what is the xdrive all about? some feedback would be appreciated.

Depends on what you need. You can get the M sports package on any of the models (although it is stock/standard on the 335is).

X drive is all wheel drive.

The ISis just a boosted engine (320 hp as opposed to 300 on all other 335i models and more torque with overboost). The IS also has a slightly different body kit and rims from the regular Msport. And if you opt for the automatic, you get the DCT transmission from the M3. It is also limited edition.

The 335d is a diesel engine, so better gas mileage.

Really just comes down to preference.

I would go to the BMW website and read up on all of the models and do a 'build your own' for each and see which you like the best.


If you are going to keep the car stock, the 'sportiest' is definitely the 335is. It is also the best performing stock. And it has that limited edition feel.
It will be obviously more expensive than the others though.
