Exclamation E90 Rear Lip Spoiler?

I bought a rear lip spolier from Pacific BMW, I took it to my body shop to get it painted and installed.
The guy wanted to test fit prior to painting, noticed that spolier fit but the edges are not curved in "exactly" to fit the trunk. Looks like there needs to be some pressure applied to hold down the spolier.

Question
Is that normal or the spolier is defective?

Can the adhesive tape that came with spoiler, do the job. ?

Yes its normal. You can use just the tape, but I would suggest that you get some Betalink for piece of mind

Mine was dealer installed, and they did a good job, but the pointed/curved edges very slightly hover above the trunk surface and my MF WW sometimes gets caught on the edges while drying, but otherwise flush to the surface.

That said, I think what they're seeing is normal.
