Ok, here's a longshot..help a brudda out.

i'm upgrading again to another nice steering wheel in the next couple of days, and would hate to reuse the stock sport trim, i already kicked myself for using it on my alcantara wheel now. anyone have one? either alcantara/msport/m3? ..Or know a local place i could pick one up in the next few days? if you can help me find one, ill give the old one to you LOL. YES, i know i can order it..but if i can get it in a couple days locally before the new one goes in and i have to retake everything apart, that would be ideal i think the dealer stocks them but the pricing is absurd.

Get a piece of alcantara and cover yours yourself.
That's what I did 5 years ago when no one was making them. I had to make it myself.
Quite easy. Just glue it on and trim with a razor blade.

thanks for the suggestion. IMHO, that would never turn out right, there's a crease running down the sport trim on both sides where the chrome is, it would just look off, to me custom wrapping an M3 trim would be something i'd entertain though. if i had the patience i'm sure i would try, cheers

haha, im still thinking about it man, u know the deal waiting on that sale..and having some really tasteful goodies goin in wednesday. but if you want to to sell it to me outright, hell ill pay now LOL. the stock cover is going to look so dumb on an 1000 dollar wheel.

no not a win dude, well not for me maybe. i ordered one, paid for overnight shipping to have it the next day to install with my bmw lcd wheel and didnt recieve it after two days, so FUGG that i said, i cancelled it. the rep told me it was clearly stated its sourced from a local supplier, okay whatever but if i pay for overnight shipping i think i deserve to know if ill get it the next day. if they dont stock it in house then i would expect to get an email or call stating so and i wouldve just paid reg shipping..i paid 56 for air shipping alone, ask akm about my story, wont do business with them again.

Wow.. That is unfortunate.. I've had VW buddies with only good experiences with ECS. I agree with you though.. If you pay for overnight shipping, I would EXPECT it next day.

Wow, sorry to hear that Rev. Sucks, the overnight cost more than the trim itself and you still didn't get it overnight.
