e90 vs e92

New E90 owner here, and I did a search.

I just noticed that the grills are similar on the e92, did they just extend the grill up on the e92 and delete the little mustache trim pieces on the hood or izatta whole new front end?

E92 = different fenders, different hood, different headlights, different bumper, different grill.

MAybe someone could do a mod to extend the grill and rid us of the mustache? prob look funny though. Out of curiosity was the e90 front another Bangle blunder? 1.5 years seems a bit quick for a refresh

Ya I always thought about this "mod"... some how modifying the "mustache" attachment to look like the top part of the coupe's grille. This would act as an extension to the bottom part of the Sedan's grill. Shouldn't be too hard to do, and could make someone a lot of money, me thinks.

I'd buy it

If you look at the spy shots of the 2009 M3 "e90/4door" you will see they use the same front as the e92. So you know where the next e90 face lift is going.

Personally, I like the E90 grills, because they mimic the 6er kidneys.

Rather look like a 6 than a 5.
