328i stock,NON-sport wheels...
If any of you have the stock, non-sport package wheels on 328 COUPE would you mind posting pictures of your car. Side shots would be great. I'm debating getting another set of wheels when my car comes in becuase I'm not crazy about the stock ones(look a little small). Pics would be great, thanks guys!
P.S.- Please refrain from saying "use the search feature". I have gone through threads, but most pics are either of 335's or 328's w/ sport package. Last edited by technik111; 06-19-2007 at 03:16 PM.. |

Check out my garage--my first E92 did not have the sport package, my current one does. There are some good shots in there.

Hey thanks a lot. Those pics are a huge help. I'm just not crazy about the non-sport wheels. If you don't mind me asking, why two E92's? Did you have problems with the first one? Again, thanks for your help!

Messing with you..
But yea if you plan on keeping the car for a long time I would get some aftermarket rims. The rims in the back look too small. The only reason i am stock is I dont see the value in spending $2k+ on rims for a car that I only have 2X months left with and the rims will probably not fit on my next car. |

Haha, I was like man is this guy serious right now?!?! The more I look at the stock wheels the less I like them. I'll have to wait and see my car in person when it comes in, but at the moment I think I'll start looking for replacements(different style OEM wheels). |

For what its worth, I always liked the 157's--I wish they had been 18's instead of 17's, but they have to give you an incentive to get the sport package. Glad I could be of help.

Thanks for the suggestion, but I'd prefer to get another set of OEM wheels, just a different style. Weight reduction and handling characteristics mean very little to me. I LOVE BBS wheels, but I think I prefer a more subtle, factory look. Out of curiosity, how much would a set of CK's set me back?

I'm also hesitant to get non-OEM wheels becase of fitment issues such as rubbing. I feel like getting factory wheels would be an all around better choice for me.

If you go to the marketplace section of this forum, there are usually people with 335's getting rid of their 189's, which would look nice on your 328i. I also like the sport 197's that are on my current E92. If you can find a good set of CSL reps, I think those are the nicest wheels BMW has ever made.

Tire rack has BBS CK's for $370 for 18 inch and $383 for 19 inch. So thats $1480 plus tires. I doubt you can find OEM rims cheaper than that. Plus the BBS will be a heck of a lot better in terms of quality and performance. I would stick with 18inch rims, one of my buddies has 19 inch rims (325i base model) and he tells me they never rub, but I see no advantage from 18 to 19 inch rims. |
