WTB: E92 335i
Hi all,
As the title states, I am currently in the market for an e92 335. I'm in no rush as I have a car to use for the next few months. I am specifically looking for an e92 335i and would prefer to get one with a 6SP Manual box but dependant on condition, options and price, may be persuaded into buying an auto. Obviously I am looking on carsales and keeping an eye out here for a deal but thought it would be worth making a thread on the off chance a member is considering parting with their 335 in the near future. The most i'm willing to spend is 55k assuming 6sp, great condition and good colour combo. If you are considering selling your vehicle, please either comment on this thread or PM me for my details. Cheers all |

Good luck
I tried and failed in the end purchased an auto but i am happy with that choice. As you will find out trying to even find a tidy car is a hard task |

I don't think there is anything wrong with the auto and 0-100 times etc. will no doubt be quicker in the auto but I think I'll miss the feeling of shifting gears. However, I guess that will be replaced by the addition of a couple of turbos

I would consider this and offer less (worth trying your luck) if you do opt for auto:

If I had no car to drive for the next few months i'd buy this
http://www.carsales.com.au/private/d...ce:Min,Max~0.5 ...but I currently have a 2008 Liberty GT-B 6sp Manual at no cost for a few months. I'm thinking I'll wait a couple of months and see if a cheap manual pops up, if not there are plenty of autos under 55k to choose from. I could probably get the above linked one for 50k but i'd rather hold out. Don't want to rush into it. |

At the end of the day I realise that I can't be fussy when it comes to buying used. I have almost no preference on colour, just mustn't be gold, yellow or some other foul colour. The main things for me are service history, kms and condition. The rest I can live with / upgrade to suit. I saw your thread and kicked myself, thus the reason for this thread. Hoping that if there are any other members who are thinking of selling their car they will see this and give me a chance to make an offer prior to listing on carsales etc. |

Wow. Strange considering the Kms on it... Maybe there is something that the owner isn't disclosing on the ad?
I think my budget is pretty generous for an 06-07 coupe. There are plenty under the 50k mark. Having said that, I will struggle to find one with Mtech etc. but that isn't a concern to me Main concern is getting a coupe with an N54 in good condition. I think that is the right frame of mind to be in when buying used. The minute you get too emotionally attached to a colour or a specific factory option you end up paying too much. |

I'd buy this one if the dealer is willing to let go for 55-57k.

As a 21 year old who looks 15 it's not exactly easy to get a test drive in a 335, let alone one with active steering. I'm just not willing to take the risk spending 50k+ on a car with an option that so many people dislike. I've also read it's no easy task removing active steering should I not like it. |
