Is this price too high to pay for used 335?
I'm looking at purchasing a 2007 335 coupe 6-speed manual with 18,450 miles on it. Price is $40,450. Seems to be alot of highway driving to have those many miles on it. The car has the following options:
Sports package premium package cold weather package navigation w/i drive rear sunshade cumfort access color...sparkling graphite saddle brown interior. I test drove the car and it seemed to be in perfect condition. Is this price to high to pay or not. Thanks in advance. |

That's a $49k car brand new. I think with that many miles on it, and more important essentially half the warranty expired, I would try to talk them down a little. Maybe $38k and go from there. But $40k does not sound like a bad price to me.
Edit: I just realized it may be CPO. If it is then you'll get an additional 2yr/50k mile warranty after the original warranty expires. But it's still less comprehensive and does not include maintenance. Try to talk him down, but once again, I think the price sounds pretty reasonable.

Yes.
Also, BIG mental/emotional plus is that it seems to have a good fuel pump!!! Whereas everyone who gets a new one knows there is a ~5% chance theirs will fail. After 18K miles, the odds seem a lot better. Check the tires to see how worn they are. If it's still the first set, that would be amazing. If it's the second set, find out when they were changed... that will tell you how crazily it was driven. |

$39,000 and below should be the price to be negotiated, IMO. Don't get fooled into the "this is a high demand car" BS. This is simply a high mileage used car... |

it's a 2007 model and was built in Oct. 2006. Thanks for the inputs, so hard to decide if it's worth the money. Seems that most of the replies so far is about 50% yes and no.
Also, I wouldn't have to pay any sales tax either here in Germany. Yes, the car is american specs. |

I paid $42,500 for my used 07 E92, with a little less than 10K miles. It had everything you mentioned except iDrive. I think $40K is a reasonable price, considering how hot the coupes are, and finding a manual, almost a prerequisite for this bodystyle, would be moot in the pricing department.

That is too many miles for my taste and too much money.... Not to low ball or anything but I would pay around $35K for that car..... If you are considering spending around $40K on a car I would suggest doing a ED and getting a brand new one. GL!

You're in Germany but planning to buy a US spec car? If this is true, you may have more negotiating room since the demand for a US spec car in Germany should be low...

Price a new one through military sales for comparison. Maybe you don't really need all those options. But I think you would have to wait a while for it to be built.
