Yep. I ordered the black vinyl nose bra for my E90. I can't wait to see how fugly it is going to be! And just think, if I get two extra squares of velcro I can probably use it on the E91 too and fugly that up!

I understand many of you will be jealous. You'll just have to get over it.

I'm sure that beats blue painters tape when making long trips. How much was it?

Thanks for sharing. Is that your rant for today, or will there be others ??

MD

BTW, your sig line still says "moral" instead of "morale". I guess you could change it to "morality" also.

If you think it's ugly, and by the way it's hideous, then why did you buy it? To protect the front end of your car? Spend the extra money and a clear bra on the hood. Don't ruin your car!

I think it's spelled that way in Pangaean

How is this a rant? Jeez... the ONE time I DON'T rant...

Nice catch on the spelling error.... I'll fix that.

Not necessarily. I had a bra for my Passat and never had a scratch. Not even a hairline. The key is being sure the car and bra are very clean when putting it on, keeping the hood well waxed, and not leaving it on when crap gets down into it so it can chafe.

Another neat trick I learned (which I did once or twice till I decided I didn't need to) is to put a strip of electrical tape under the upper edge of the bra (on the hood). The tape won't leave residue on the car, but protects the are where the edge of the bra contacts the hood.

To protect the front on long trips. I would love to have a clear bra, but I struggle to accept the RIDICULOUS price of them. For $800 you can get your car fixed at a body shop after lots of chips.

Lesser of two evils. For $100, might as well give it a try.

i dunno why you would ruin the look of your car because your afraid of getting a scratch or ding here and there. You have a 3 series bmw, its a lovely car but i mean its not like your driving around a super car that will depreciate if it has a scratch or something

When I'm driving a long distance on the interstates, who gives a crap what the Griswolds around me think? That's the only time I plan on using it.

I even tried to get a quote for clear bra... no one around here does them.

Damn, thats hot. Is there a group buy on this? Is there anyone that makes a rear-bra? This car has horrible aerodynamics, the back part gets covered in filth while the rest of the car looks decent. Cant wait to see this mod at the next meet. Maybe some rotten kid wont throw sand under it.

Alex - I like the idea of the rear bra! They could call it the diaper!! Imagine that sucker when some air gets into it.

Don't buy a "bra" for a man's car, buy a "bro".
