New member, future 335 owner!

Hello all,

I've been reading through the posts here for about a week now and thought I'd say, "Hello". I have a Lotus as my daily driver now but need a more practical car now for traveling, however I still want to have something fun for the track and the 335 fits the bill. Not sure if I'll do a 90 or 92, but it will definitely get the procede 2.0, lighter wheels, no runflats (probably RA-1s), KW V2, exhaust still under review, etc, etc..... I told myself I wasn't going to mod the Lotus - that lasted about two months so I'm not even going to kid myself with the 335.

Funny thing between the Lotus and 335 - I drove a 335 last week with the TT chip, custom exhaust and Tein coilovers (at full stiff) running on A048s and while it was blistering fast, the thought running though my head was, "Man, this thing is sooo quiet and rides like a Caddy!!"

Thanks for having a fun community. There's definitely a different atmosphere here than on the Lotus forums.

I'm a BMWCCA member and will be at VIR in July. Hope to see some of you out there.

Thanks. Yeah, Ray Korman was instructing at the last BMWCCA drivers ed at VIR and he had a Lotus out there (as well as a couple of bmws.)

Funny, him being one of the top bmw tuners. I'll probably just need help with the suspension and maybe exhaust if it's not just a bolt on. I like grassrootsgarage.com who did all my MINI and X5 work. Good guy, very busy.

Welcome to the forum. The 335i is a little more refined than the Lotus, but as your daily driver, I'm sure it will give you many more happy hours of seat time.
