Since we are being sponsored by JMK BMW, you guys will not need to worry about food. Or at least I hope the $200 will cover everything. The only thing I suggest is if you want alcohol, you should bring your own. That can be pretty costly.

Bear Mountain charges $6.00 to get in, per car.

Please try and bring a FRS radio with you, that way when we drive to Bear Mountain, we can stay together and that no one will be left behind. And if you have extra ones, please bring them with you for the people who don't have one.

Also, please re-confirm on this thread to let me know whether or not you will be attending. And which location you will be meeting up at first. Either the Mobil location or the GSP location. I need to get an estimate on the head count to get a permit for us to BBQ at Bear Mountain.

There will be 2 meeting locations at 9:00 A.M. One for the NY'ers and one for the NJ people and the final meeting location before Bear Mountain will be at 10:00 A.M.. Please see below for the meeting locations.

Meet locations:

Citgo (Used to be Mobil Gas Station) on the Palisades Parkway at 9:00 A.M.

Directions:
If coming from city/LI, take GWB upper level and bear right, take Palisades Interstate Parkway North. The rest area will be on the left around exit 4 or 5

If coming from Tappan Zee Bridge, stay on I-287 West and take exit 13S. This will take you to Palisades Interstate Parkway South. Proceed to around exit 4 or 5 and gas station rest area will be on left.

Final meeting location for everybody before Bear Mountain will be at 10:00 A.M. at the small rest area in the middle of the Palisades Parkway between exits 16 & 17 just South of the Wayne Recreation Area. There's no gas station or anything, just a little museum type thing and some port-a-potties. We'll meet there at 10:00 A.M.

scott, can u change the two blue titles (best buy and mobil) to google map links? i think people will find it a lot easier to find it

We haven't picked a final location yet. I still have to find out the head count and then apply for the permit. Once I have the location, I will definitely let you know.

it's cool...but honestly bbq should not be held with a lot of people...maybe we can bbq before meeting everybody? how is it even possible to cook for so many people with two small stoves? nobody is even volunteering for bring or cooking food. Just something to think about...

I guess they will handle their own food and we will handle our own. We wouldn't need to coordinate with them, they will just follow us there and share the park.
